Kingsland Catfish Festival – Labor Day Weekend 2011

Every year this festival gets bigger and better. In the traditional southern style you can expect ton’s of food, live music, crafts, a huge parade turnout.

We are posting the festival schedule so all of our campers can make the most of the weekend.

July 4th Fun At KOA

The July 4th “Hot Wings” Eat & Meet

So how hot do you like them? Come find out on July 4th weekend as we grill up tons of chicken wings and mix up a variety of sauces for our campers.

You can also expect more events like:

  • Games for the kids Scavenger Hunt
  • Water Balloon Football
  • Oreo Face Plant

July 2 and 3rd At Fort Clinch: “Union Garrison Brings Fort To Life”

The Union Garrison takes place the first weekend of every month, featuring living history interpreters who bring Fort Clinch to life, giving visitors a chance to see how the soldiers lived during the Civil War. Activities may include powder artillery demonstrations, medical demonstrations and soldier drills. Additionally, soldiers and civilians offer a glimpse into garrison life by taking up duty in the laundry, infirmary, barracks and kitchen. Saturday events are held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday events are offered from 9 a.m. until noon. For more details, call (904) 277-7274.

Sounds on Centre – July 1 “Parrott Head Mania”

The Historic Fernandina Business Association proudly presentsSounds on Centre, a free community concert held the first Friday of each month (March – October) in historic downtown Fernandina. Taking place on Centre Street between 2nd & Front from 6 to 8 p.m., each free concert provides opportunity for friends to get together, bring beach chairs and put on dancing shoes to enjoy a wide variety of local bands.

The July 1, 2011 date is a special event featuring a “Fernandinaville Parrot Head Mania” theme with Jimmy Parish and the Ocean Waves creating a Margaritaville vibe on Centre Street.

Memorial Day Was Fun… Fathers Day Is Next!

We are happy to say that our Memorial day weekend was fantastic! We want to say “Thank You” to all the families that chose to spend their holiday with us and hope to see you back for our Fathers Day “BBQ At The Pool” weekend.


Fathers Day Weekend “Poolside BBQ Included!”

“We want to feed you for FREE!”

So how do you make Dad happy this Father’s day? I think we have the answer… Bring him to a weekend of camping at Jacksonville / St Marys KOA and we will feed all our overnight guests BBQ for FREE!

That’s right stay with us Saturday evening and we will be firing up the old smoker. We will be providing delicious pulled pork BBQ to go along with a potluck dinner (if possible bring your best covered dish to share with the “Dad’s”.)

So bring Dad, Mom and the kids camping. Enjoy the pool, have a campfire and Saturday night we’ll serve up some delicious BBQ!

Jacksonville / St Marys KOA – Memorial Day Events

Our campground is looking forward to the first “holiday weekend” of the summer! To celebrate we will have a 37ft jumbo inflatable “Super Slip and Slide!” The slide will be operating both Saturday and Sunday afternoon 12pm to 4pm!
